Am busy and don't want to take time to address first problem. But for the 0:
When the appliqued 0 is in design shop, I manually put in a singleline over the
center of the 0 where I want it to sew. In design shop, the 0 will have an
Outline1 and an outline 2. Usually the 2 is for the center. Just highlight
all the points for outline 2 and delete them. You now will have the 0 without
the jump stitches from outside to inside. You just have to make your single
line the same width and density as your applique.
