I tried almost all of the above and what we discussed on the phone. I also talked to Melco and they are sending me a new thread feed motor and drive gear. I am going to replace both of the parts and if there is no improvement, I will call a tech. On another note...I put a cap and design on it that requires mucho thread feed...it sewed-out better than ever at 850 spm with no bobbin or thread breaks (1. this design always gives me problems and 2. I have 10 more to do...I guess every cloud has a silver lining). I think it's just sending as much thread as it wants and to hell with what I say! Even on standard feed 1, it's coming out like crazy. I'll keep you posted. I hope your family is well in the face of the hurricane. And yes, the offer is good...food and evacuation-lodging for service and maint. Thanks for everything and take care, Erik =========================================================== The AmayaUsers Mailing List Website: http://www.amayausers.com Discussion Board: http://www.amayausers.com/boards Subscribe/Unsubscribe: http://www.amayausers.com/list ===========================================================
