This Friday is our next Solidarity economy klubi - a form of getting
together which in itself is a developing space as part of a process in
development aswell, as is ours :)
For this Friday our initiative has been told to be with, during which we
can be telling of our discussion series, why not also reflect on next weeks
Pelastetaan edes aikapankit seminar (thank you again for the encouragement
Pekka! :)), and see what this solicits. As said, the solidarity economy
process is a process much in development, which in particular refers also
as to the how we can be making this a process usefull to actual other
economy/solidarity economy actors(practitioners), to their needs. To
discuss with other economy actors of the usefullness of engaging in the
subject of our initiative is ofcourse ideally what would want to do.
I forward you the below message which just went out to our solidarity
economy list, so you can get a sense of that process.
In addition then to updating on the solidarity economy process and our
initiatives discussion, there will be wonderful world music jamming by
Pedro and fellow musicians, as well as Oma Maa's organic food buffet.

Again welcoming new people to the list, thist time after our session
together with Katherine Gibson at Oma Maa on 23.4, where she folllowing two
lectures in Tampere and Helsinki talked more with us, starting from the
questions arising around our intention to further mapping and network
forming between community/solidarity economy actors based on needs and
demands and the recent experiences in Quebec with social and solidarity

Katherine also introduced us to a set ofTake Back the Economy tools aiding
us to rethink forinstance use of time, or the commons and commoning. Whilst
we ran out of time during the session there, the intent is to get back to
the tools and have a session(s) around those as part of our process.

starting already at klo17! at Kaarlenkatu 15, Oma Maa organic food
cooperative's cafe. We will be updating on the events held, the process at
large, the Another Financial system & Money for Finland initiative will be

*Tomorrow Tuesday 9.5 we are having a get together with some people
interested in taking up the interviewing of actors who have joined map*.
The idea of the interviews which would be published on Commons.fi is to
give more visibility to the actors, inspire and at large support the
solidarity economy process. We have previously developed the start of an
interview tool (questions list) and will now be reviewing that. We are
meeting at 17pm at Katri Valan park (the one up the stairs inbetween UFF
and Fida)
