Uhmmm... the funny thing is, the sun IS moving considerably faster while
traveling over the Tropic of Capricorn. And this is according to
heliocentric, globe based software (not Flat Earthers). I discovered this
while using the software Stellarium <http://stellarium.org/> to figure
out what the sun is doing in Antarctica during the times when they have 24
hour sunlight. Using the software, you can select your viewing location. In
this case, I believe I selected the Ross Ice Shelf. You can choose the type
of camera. I chose a wide-angle camera so I could see all four cardinal
points when pulling the camera into the ground and pointing it toward the
sky. Set the time duration for a full year and then speed up the animation
to observe it. And what do you know? Heliocentric, globe based software
rendered the sun going slower over the Tropic of Cancer and much faster
over the Tropic of Capricorn when the animation was superimposed on top of
the AE map. If you watch the first 6.5 minutes of the following video, you
will see not only is the sun/moon's variable speeds "measured" by
Stellarium (again, heliocentric, globe-based software), but it was also
observed (for the moon speed) and confirmed by video shot (I believe) by
Dave Marsh:

What is amazing is that NASA has $62,000,000 a day to spend. So
considering one side of the moon always faces earth, how hard would it be
to send a craft to drop off a camera that looks back at earth and records
footage 24/7. Solar would be plenty to power a camera.
They could put it on a website view.earth or something and advertisers
would more than pay for it. Target buys the ad spot for a day. Burger King
the next. It would be the single most viewed webpage in history. And when
this amazing eclipse happens, we would see as the earth approaches the sun
and blocks the light from the view of the earth. We would see it go dark on
the moon until the sun re-emerges on the other side of earth.
We would also get to see the earth as it spins in the vacuum of space.
Think of the timelapse footage this would provide. Think how easy it would
be to teach school children about the lunar eclipse.

Am I correct Don V? If so, the Fla Earthers could run a plastic pipe
anywhere and start with just a few hundred feet, perfectly level. The
bottom half of the pipe is predicted to show water spilling over as it
seeks the Balloon Earth arc. As the pipe gets longer the middle of it
will be 100% dry.

Hold the pencil at arms length. The pencil blocks the Moon to the same

that measure is not an illusion. I got 50% variation in stick width

to block the Moon depending on how where it was in the sky over a few
