better non-permanent pickups. Other than that, most people go with the LR
Baggs 5.O. Its the one Larry installs in his ukes. You can probably get
one for around $130, INSTALLATION EXTRA.
I can loan you a uke with a PU if you want ...

I've been drafted into a workplace band to give a performance at a staff retreat and need to figure out some amplification. Possibly I could buy a new instrument with one built in if I thought I could get something that really played and sounded nice for a decent price.
