My thanks to Chris and Neil for their support. However, I need to clarify
that although I am a lawyer, I am not acting as the lawyer for any of the
AEM Investors. It is not my role to pick a lawyer for the rest of you and
I do not agree to do that. That is a personal decision and you have to
make your own judgment. I will give you my thoughts and tell you what I
decide to do, but none of you are required to join me. There are many
good lawyers in the Vancouver/Portland area, and we should all consider the
experience of the lawyer, the adequacy of the staff (are they large enough
to handle this case without being bogged down), and the cost of the legal
work.
I think it is important that we do everything we can to hunt down the Miles
family assets and see what is there to be collected before spending an
additional 5-10k or more each running down the collection path. I have
discussed this with Gary Grenley and he seems to agree.
I have sent an email to Gary Grenley this morning asking him to clarify
what amount of initial retainer would be acceptable, and am waiting for his
response. I did question him if the 500k represented by Roy Thompson was
accurate because that number seems quite large to expect. I will respond
to the group after I get clarification from Gary.

Trey Tennyson has observed that the Garvey firm neglected to address
receivership. The dollar amount first mentioned by Roy Thompson has
doubled from 250 to 500,000.
August 2nd court hearing has not taken place.
