[adaptivetec] shutting off the color and background attributes when using jaws

Hi All! Hope everyone is having a wonderful fall! Does anyone know how to shut
off the background and color announcements in Jaws? I'm trying to shut off the
announcements of colors and background information when I'm reading, especially
in outlook express. I've tried saving and modifying various sound and theme
schemes, but I can't seem to fix the problem.
It's frustrating! Cananyone help?
