[adaptivetec] Jaws slow in different profiles

Hello, I have two profiles loaded on my Dell Latitude laptop and I have set
Jaws with defaults under both, for speed voice etc but in one of these profiles
it keeps starting up really slow and even if I speed it up with control option
and page up keys it slows right down again. I have set up a profile with the
faster speeds but still same issue.
Any advice would be appreciated.
