Mike, please guide me on what you would like me to accomplish. I can set date
lines with you as mentioned before so I can know exactly what to do in the
following years for the grant.
Thank you.
I will contact you and Tom directly on the dates for the upcoming year.

Subject: [acweboard] To Ponder Before Meeting
Hi All
The next application for Austin cultural funding is due May 1. The good news
is since they are making this a bridge year, we will have a much simpler
application to complete. This would also normally mean we would get about the
same amount of money as next year. However, with the cancellation of SXSW and
possible cancellation of other major events in the future, the hotel tax will
take a significant hit. This is where the arts funding comes from. At this
point I think we can assume we will get something between $7000 and $14,000 for
next season.
Now for the immediate concern:
The two main variables on the application will be:
1) What will our concert season be and what is the programming? We will need
to provide dates and venues.
2) What do we want to spend our money on?
Since venue rental is a significant part of our budget, this ties in with #1
above. Guest artists and masterclass clinicians will also be a factor. Most
other expenses are relatively fixed.
We have this meeting and one more prior to May 5. I am perfectly happy to deal
with this stuff via email, but people tend to be unresponsive that way. At any
rate, we need to work out the two items above prior to May 1.
thanks
mike
