Hello Band!
I hope you're all doing ok! I'm doing fine, except that I'm almost out of
places to dig holes and plant things.
I'm writing to update you on the content of the Board's discussion at our
meeting this past weekend. Our conversation centered around when we think it
will be safe to meet again as an ensemble, or even in smaller groups building
toward the whole. We feel that there is still too much uncertainty about the
safety of gathering in large groups for the band to begin rehearsing again in
the near future. Therefore, ACWE will not have in-person rehearsals for some
time yet. We will pay close attention to the recommendations of experts
regarding gatherings and bands, and will announce the go ahead for the meetings
of small ensembles or a MiniWE when the situation has stabilized for the better.
In the meantime, we can keep doing bandful things together online! I would

on Tuesday evenings. A rollicking and informative time, and probably there
won't be a playing test at the end...
The board also decided that we would like to try having an ACWE social Zoom.
We'll start with an hour long social time every other Thursday, beginning next
Thursday the 7th at at 7PM. Bring a pet, bring a cookie recipe, bring an
instrument that will sound terrible over Zoom; we'll chat and have a nice time
about them all.
Finally, we're going to take this time to be productive with a bit of
administrative housekeeping. In a few days the board will be sending out a
Google Form to collect band member contact information. This will help us keep
our records up to date, and will allow the Librarian to come to your house if
you don't turn in your folders at the end of a season. He'll do it.
