2006-09-27
Local programming contest will be Friday October 6, at 4:00pm in Linux
lab - Maes room 211
Joseph will make flyers for programming contest
Ryan and Joseph will attend the required student-organization
leadership conference on Saturday October 7.
Book sale will be held some time in November
Rose Hogan is new SGA rep

Regional programming contest is on Nov 3-4 in Baton Rouge
Book sale will be held some time in November (later in the first week
after programming contest?)

Local programming contest had 7 people. Main team will be Rose,
Joseph, Ric. Alternate: Kadia.
3 practices on Friday afternoons
Saturday October 14 at 8am - community service cleaning up a street on campus

Rose and Joseph got a total of 4 hrs community service cleaning up a
street on campus on Sat Oct 14
Other community service opportunities:
- film festival meeting next Thu (Oct 26) in Communications rm 103
- Sat Oct 28 - "Imagination Station" playground project
10 hrs total needed
Thu Oct 19 at 5pm - meeting to discuss cosponsorship - Setzer 2nd floor
Nov 6-10: photos for yearbook in Setzer Ballroom
Our office STILL has mold on the wall from Rita; Ryan has reminded Donna again
Ryan will talk to Dr. Osborne about getting us a working place to put
an ACM website

Programming contest fees: $200 registration, $450 hotel (3 rooms at
$150 each, 1 night), and $30 gas = $680 total. -- get a cheaper hotel
next year
$210 van rental ($70 a day for 3 days, since the company won't take it
back earlier) paid by CS dept
Community service at Fletcher Elementary (on Avenue F in Beaumont):
Halloween Party, Tue Oct 31 - 11am, 2 or 3 hrs
Thu Oct 19 at 5pm - meeting to discuss cosponsorship - Joseph and/or
Rose attended, but didn't show up for today's ACM meeting to tell us
about it

Programming contest was last weekend. Our team placed 35 out of 65.

ending Sunday afternoon Nov 12
