ACET and Tomball College welcome the 42nd Annual Conference of the
Association for Computer Educators of Texas for workshops (CPE credit
available), sessions (CPE credit available), speakers, special events, and
vendor exhibits that support our conference theme, "Anytime, Anywhere
Computing: Mobile & Secure!" ACET's focus on offering education and training
for high school, college and university faculty, staff, and administrators
allows us to present an annual conference at an extremely low cost with
professional development opportunities, training workshops, invited
speakers, papers presenting current research, and other sessions that inform
participants about cutting-edge technologies and current developments in the
field. Our special focus for the 2006 conference will highlight the impact
that portable, wireless technologies are having on educational settings and
best practices for maintaining security in these environments! Submit your

PRESENTATION CATEGORIES:

ACET is proud to present quality sessions that highlight topics of interest
to Computer Teachers of Texas. As usual, the conference will present quality
best practices presentations, demonstration/poster sessions,
corporate/vendor exhibits, and tutorials/workshops. We are proud to announce
a new category for 2006: Paper presentations. Paper presentations will
highlight reports of significant work or reviews of work relevant to
conference topics. Papers accepted for presentation will be considered for
publication in the ACET Journal of Computer Education and Research.
