Hey ACES members,
September is upon us and we have the first 'SNAGS WITH GRADS!' event on
this Friday the 14th of September. We will be running a BBQ from 12 til 2pm
outside the front of the pavilion and we are putting on a FREE sausage
sizzle and soft drinks for engineers. We have had an overwhelming response
from industry and currently have 6 industry representatives attending and
this list is continuing to grow. We have a graduate from BP who is heavily
involved in the vacation/graduate recruitment program at BP and a
representative from Clough who has been involved in design projects at
Curtin in previous years. We also have representatives from Tetra Tech and
BHP. So come down and ask all of your questions about vacation work,
interview/resume tips and even design project tips.
As we are nearing the end of the year, we are looking to find some
enthusiastic students who want to be involved with ACES next year. It is a
great opportunity to meet peers, industry and it looks great on your resume
as extra curricular activity. If you are interested, or know anyone who
would be interested, please email us or come down and Friday and chat to
the committee.
