DearFriends,

MTNL and BSNL are providing these features to all the subscribers of landline
and WLL in all over India.

1. Three Way Conference:

This feature allows a conference between three parties. To initiate Call
Conference, call the first person. Once the call is connected, Press the hook
switch or flash to get the special dial tone. and dial the second number. When
the call is connected with the third party, again apply the same procedure and
press digit 3. This will initiate a Three Way Conference Call.

If the conference caller disconnects the phone, then all parties will be
disconnected. This feature is available only if it has been specifically
subscribed by you.

2. Dynamic Locking:

This is a system by which a subscriber connected to electronic telephone
exchange can lock the use of Local, STD and ISD Call facility on his telephone.
This prevents unauthorised calls from the subscriber?s telephone. This is
completely foolproof. This system works on a four digit secret code selected by
the subscriber. If the code is registered once only, the person who know the
secret code can be activate the telephone line for the outgoing calls. 3
different electronic telephone exchanges are used in Mumbai. They are Fetex 150
digital exchanges. This system is known as, ?Dynamic Locking?.

To operate Dynamic Locking, the subscribers can dial 123 for secret code
registration and 124 for opening and closing Dynamic Locking.

DYNAMIC LOCKING PROCEDURES

1. For all exchanges except Fetex 150 123 ABCD ABCD Registration of code
(Secret code dial twice)

2. For Fetex 150 exchanges 123 1111 ABCD

3. To change secret code-123 ABCD (Old Secret Code) EFGH (New Secret Code)

4. All calls (Local, Internet, Level 95, Cell Phone, WLL, Trunk, NSD, ISD)
allowed-124 ABCD 0

5. Only Local Calls, Level 95 (Upto 50kms), Cell Phone, WLL, Trunk allowed-124
ABCD 1

6. Only Local calls, Level 95 (Upto 50kms) allowed-124 ABCD 2

7. Only Local, Internet, Level 95, Trunk, NSD calls allowed 124 ABCD 3

8. All outgoing calls banned-124 ABCD 4

9. All GSM Cellular Network allowed in the state circle-124 ABCD 5

After dialing please wait for acceptance tone.

Caution:

After registering the secret code, note it down somewhere. Repetitive attempts
using a wrong code may permanently jam the STD/ISD and disable the dynamic
control facility. In such a case re-setting is done by an application at the
Customer Service Centre. After initialization, re-register your secret code
afresh as per the procedure for initial registration.

3. Auto-Answering Facility:

This facility enables you to know the called party?s availability or absentee
by a recorded message. This feature works like a Voice Mail Service. When the
facility is activated, a tape will automatically get displayed and will
indicate that ?The person you have called, is not available at present, please
try after sometime?. After the activation, you will not receive any incoming
call on your Phone, the tape will indicate your absentee to the calling party.
During this period, outgoing calls can still be made as usual. On lifting the
handset a different dial tone will be heard indicating that the Absentee
facility is activated. You can activate or deactivate this facility according
to your need.

Activation:

The subscriber just has to dial "1228" and wait for the acknowledgement tone.

Deactivation:

Dial "1229" and wait for the acknowledgement tone.

4. CLIR

(Calling Line Identification Restriction):

This facility enables you to block presentation of your own number on a called
person's phone. When the facility is activated, you cannot receive any incoming
call on your telephone.

All these facilities are provided free of charge by MTNL and BSNL to all the
fixed lines and WLL subscribers.

To subscribe any of these facilities, please dial MTNL Call Centre at 1500 for
registration.
