Hi Amanda and ANZAGG listers,
That is exciting news and I would be fascinated to learn and experience more of
these lesser known techniques and technologies. Regrettably, however, my
employment with Education Queensland will finish shortly, once my LSL is over
next week and I will have to unsubscribe from this list. I don’t expect to be
able to get to the Round Table Conference, but hope lots of folk will be able
to get involved with the ANZAGG workshop.
I will very likely resubscribe to the list next year as I’d like to stay in
touch with developments in my retirement.
My very best wishes to all.
Kind regards,
Tom.

Subject: [accessiblegraphics] ANZAGG workshop at Round Table Conference 2022
Exciting news!
ANZAGG has been invited to hold a workshop at the 2022 Round Table Conference,
to be held online from 16 to 17 May 2022.
The topic of the workshop will be techniques for creating accessible graphics,
and I would like to cover lesser-known tools, hacks and new technologies, i.e.
more than just swell paper, thermoform and embossing. I am thinking about
braille embossing powder, build-your-own thermoform machine, glue guns or 3D
printing pens, CNC milling, refreshable tactile displays, hacks for adding
audio labels or moveable parts, and more!
Let's make this truly a group workshop. Can you suggest what techniques you
would like to learn more about? Do you have a technique that you could share?
It would be great to have a host of co-presenters each giving an explanation
and/or demonstration of one technique, which could either be pre-recorded or
delivered live on Zoom. It could be as brief as a couple of minutes per
presenter, depending on your topic. Please do get involved.
With thanks in anticipation,
Leona
