Yes. If it is a voice note you will need keysoft 9.3.0 or keysoft 9.3.1. Once you have connected the iPhone and Apex through bluetooth to use as a braille display for the first time, it is easier to connect them again when you want to use the braille display again in the future. To do it the first time, turn on bluetooth on the Apex and then press backspace and enter and the letter t. If it asks you for a port then press b for bluetooth. Then quit pressing buttons on the Apex. Go to your iPhone and make sure bluetooth is turned on. Then go in to settings- general- accessibility- voiceover- braille. Find the Apex and double tap and type 4 0s, 0000, and press pair. You need to do the 4 0s and press pair fast or it will make you do it again. Then they will be connected. After that, you can press buttons on the Apex again. If you ever need to reconnect the 2 devices again, turn on bluetooth on the Apex and then press backspace and enter and the letter t. If it asks you for a port then press b for bluetooth. Then quit pressing buttons on the Apex. Go to your iPhone and make sure bluetooth is turned on. Then lock and unlock your iPhone and they should connect. After that, you can press buttons on the Apex again. Here is some basic braille equivalents to some of the jestures you would use onscreen. They are not all of them, just some to get you started. space with dot 4=1 finger swipe right. space with dot 1=1 finger swipe left. space with dots 2 and 3=turn the rotor left. Space with dots 5 and 6= turn the rotor right. Space with dot 6=move up by the setting set in the rotor. Space with dot 3=move down by the setting set in the rotor. You can also type text messages and emails and stuff with your braille keyboard. Have you used an iOS device before? Do you know how to use voiceover without a voicenote or braillenote connected to the device? If not, just ask questions and people will be able to help you learn about how to use your device both with and without your voicenote connected. Also check out www.applevis.com. It is a good place to learn about iOS devices. Good luck.

You must be running Kyesoft 9.3 or later on the Apex. If you are, then yes, you can use the keyboard to type on the iPhone. For a recording of how to connect an Apex to the iPhone, go to www.braillenoteusers.info/media and look for the podcast by Alex H (yes, that's me, so ask me any questions). The podcast was done with an Apex on ks9.1 or 9.0 and an iPod on iOS5, but the steps have not changed at all and the process will still work. Hi everyone.

I'm getting an iphone 4, and would like to know how to connect my voicenote apex to it.

What I need to know, is every gesture, everything to know about it.

Can you use your apex to text?

Thanks.
