Ok all this is what I did to fix the mail issue regarding getting rid of the archive selection as an option under actions within mail app. First go to settings then Maile contacts and calendars settings, then tap GMail for those who use that service like me, then tap your account, for example mine is cdrobles693, it is a button, then go to advance button, and from here scroll until you get to where it says move discarded messages into, by default it is archive you want to switch it to deleted mailbox instead of archive mailbox and then press done button after you back out of the advance settings once you've made that selection, then press back until you get to the actual settings after you configure your mail, and to think I did this all before church! You should now see no archive option when you flick down in the action menu in the mail app the options should be, activate, more, and trash to automatically discard to the trash folder. Hope that helps you all. Took some poking around but now I've got it. I hope I didn't miss any steps.
