I'd say a better bet is a good spyware scan.

Hi.
using a toshiba a 300 satellite psa g4a, and i notice that when jaws
starts
up, and my machine gives me a sound it is starting up and then another
sound
for the desktop, jaws does not come up on the login screen, and got
automatic login, as the only user on this machine.
it takes ages to start up, and does a sort of wining or some sort of
whistle.
and then jaws starts up.
if i leave the machine say even for 10 minutes to do things, it stil
whistles, or jaws is a bit sluggish.
what could be causing this and how to fix this?
would a scandisk and defrag help.
had the machine 4 months, and just noticed this the last few weeks.
any suggestions.
