Take Me to My Home Page?

Your home page is the first web page that you see whenever you open the
internet. Did you know that you can change it? Here's how:

These directions are for Microsoft Internet Explorer and might not work for
other browsers. Also, if you are in a network environment you might not be
able to change your home page.

*I. Method One:

1. Open up the internet.

2. Go to a webpage that you'd like to set as your new homepage. Copy the
address of that webpage by right clicking on the address and selecting copy
from the menu that appears.

From the keyboard: Go to a webpage and then press alt plus the letter d.

Then press control plus the letter c to copy this address to the clipboard.

Lastly for this step, press shift tab a few times to get out of the address bar
if using a keyboard for completing this step.

3. Go to the "Tools" menu and select "Internet Options"
If using a keyboard:

a. Press alt plus the letter t for tools.

b. Press the letter o for folder options.

4. You are placed into an edit field for the hompage address.

a. Select the text and delete it by pressing the delete key.

b. Paste in the clipboard's contents.

5. Click on "apply" when using a mouse.

If using a keyboard, press alt plus the letter a or tab to "apply" and press
enter.

6. Click on "okay."

From the keyboard, tab to "okay" and press enter.

7. Close and then reopen IE and the new homepage will work.

*II. Method Two:

1. Press alt plus t for tools.

2. Press the letter o for "Internet Options."

3. If you know the homepage's url already that you wish to use, type it in
this edit field. The text already in the box will be typed over.

4. Click on "applyyy" or press alt plus the letter a or tab to "apply"and
press enter.

5. Tab to okay and press enter or click on okay.

6. Close and reopen IE and the homepage will work.
