Changing tone on the speakers will depend on what sound card you have. Go to the volume control. Tab around and see if you have advanced controls for playback. If you do, press tab to activate the button. Now see if there are tone controls in there. If you don't have an advanced control button, press alt to bring up the options menu then down arrow to see if advanced controls is checked. Some sound cards have tone controls, others do not. If you do not have tone controls, you can still get better sound from your media player by using it's equalizer. But, this won't help system sounds or the Jaws voice if they are going through the laptop speakers. Where do I go to change the actual tone of the speakers? Is it possible? I have a Dell Latitude E5400 laptop running Windows XP pro. I know laptop speakers generally don't sound great, but they have a lot of treble and am hoping I can somehow change the tone to a more full sound. Any suggestions would be appreciated and thanks in advance. Sherri Brun flmom2006@xxxxxxxxx There is a Braille literacy crisis in America.
