COSP8 – June 8th: GAATES Forum on “Accessibility and
Education: Challenges and Solutions”
GAATES is pleased to host a Global
Forum on “Accessibility and Education: Challenges and Solutions” at the 8th
Conference of States Parties (COSP) on June 8, 2015. The forum will
address key indicators of accessibility in the UN CPRD and accessibility in
educational
environments, including the built environment, assistive devices and
technologies, and accessible learning materials.
The event is being held at the UN Headquarters, NYC in Conference Room 3
(Secretariat
Building) from 3.00 to 6.00 with a reception to follow
from 6.00 to 7.30. GAATES is pleased have organized the event with co-sponsors;
UNICEF, UN DESA, Zero Project, The Gulf Disability Society.
Among others Mr. Deepak KC , GAATES Country Rep. of Nepal
will share his experiences on recent earthquakes in Nepal .
