[access-uk] xp upgrade question

Hi List,

Thanks to all those who responded to my earlier question concerning
ebay and xp.

Now, just one more question.

Several of you mentioned an upgrade package.

I presume I would need to install this upgrade while running windows
2000?

Also, what if I wanted to do a clean install. From time to time, if I get
problems or simply if I think I have too much trash on my disk, I reformat
it and reinstall from scratch, booting from my windows 2000 cd.

I presume that an upgrade package would not allow me to do this?

I know I could use restore in xp but I am not happy with this and would
rather have the option of starting again.

So, with this in mind, do I need to get the full version?

The reason for considering the upgrade is that I have a couple of
devices one being a panasonic kxp6500 printer and the 2k drivers are a
bit unstable.
