Hi,

It largely depends on which access software you're using. For example,
Dolphin speech products work with all versions of Office up till 2007. This includes full support for the new ribbon interface. You'd have to ask users
of other access products for their support with the same programs.

Office 2010 recently ended its closed group CTP programme, and will shortly
move to a more public beta. From my initial testing, they have made some
significant changes to the ribbon interface and the design of some of the
controls, with the most noticeable being in the main Outlook window. This
renders even Dolphin products only slightly useful when trying to work with
it.

Having said that, these are early days yet, and it won't be until the beta
goes live to the public that we'll really start to know what the main
hurdles to accessibility are. Then I think we'll know more from the access
software vendors as to what the support schedule, if any, will be.
