[access-uk] unable to connect samsung galaxy y young Gt-S5360 phone to wify network

hi all.
i just broght the samsung galaxy y young android 2.3.6 phone i do the
following to connect it to wify network.
1 go to settings.
2 go to wireless and network
3 wify settings as i enter it the device surches for networks but
doesnt detect any network how ever i have a very good wify network i
have enabled the wify feature and marked the box on use wireless
networks what to do
