Hi Jake,
You almost defeated your own argument there. 😊
You said how you prefer mainstream equipment, then asked if Angie had a note
taker that would fit in a handbag. So why use a note taker at all? Just make
notes on your phone. 😊
Personally, I like using my phone with a Braille keyboard, but I also like a
Braille note taker, for Braille output, specifically for proofreading, but I
don’t like these Braille note takers that claim to do everything, such as the
BS6 or BrailleNote touch, because the Internet is of no value to me on those
devices.
All the best
Steve

Subject: [access-uk] specialist kit as opposed to mainstream kit
I agree with both Angie and Steve about the joy of just using commercially
available too specialist devices.
I have struggled and kept an iPhone as opposed to the Shell, largely because
when, and where, it goes wrong you can always find somebody who understands
IPhone.
It is finding good info on how to use commercial equipment.
I find both BBC iPlayer and BBC sounds hit and miss on my iPhone and using
android on the BS6.
Thank God for Webbie.
Final point for Angie, do you have a braille notetaker which fits in your
handbag?
If yes how big is your handbag?
Cheers this is a great list.
Jake.
