Cheers Steve. is the mobile the only way to record apart from one-touch
record. i.e. i take it it's not possible to set up a timed recording.

Yes, you can do all of this kind of.
Navigating recordings is guesswork, and you have to remember in which order
the recordings come if you want something specific, but I am very happy with
Sky Plus. I have also sent it texts from the phone to record, successfully.
You need a sightling to help you set this up though, since you have to tie your
box to your mobile phone number in My Sky on the box.
