Hi Debbie, you can go to run and type cmd.exe then type chkdsk. I tried Hal, it read the results, Jaws did Not for me. Only thing about this check is it doesn't fix anything! I am totally blind, thought I'd try it your way, whilst it worked OK I can't get a report, and also had much difficulty in getting windows to load again. Be glad if someone can give some information on this. I have run the disk error check tool in Windows XP by going to my computer, highlighting drive C and bringing up the context menu and selecting properties. After clicking on the check disk for errors tool the PC restarts and the disk check is done before windows restarts. Is there a way I can view the results of this error check? are they stored in a log file somewhere, and if so does anyojne know what the file is called? Thanks Debbie Living in beautiful Devon.
