Yeah you can then.

Make sure you have the driver disk in case you decided in the future to switch to the ethernet adaptor.

I personally use the NIC on systems rather than USB for two reasons.

1. Free's up a USB port I can use for cool stuff like my USB coffee cup warmer I'm desperately hoping somebody will get me for Chrimbo.

2. On a more technical note there's less overhead on the systems CPU resources if your network bandwidth is controlled by a seperat card who's architecture is designed for that. Put more simply if you've a machine below 1.5GHZ you'll notice far less sluggishness if your rocketing the downloads in on the NIC than on USB.
