Hi Barbra.

Have you tried searching your specific error online?

  Hi Ibrahim

There is never more than two devices connected at once, and most of the time
only one, so that's probably not it. The router is a NetGear and not the
rubbish provided free by BT.

    Hi.

On my particular router, if you are disconnected IE the machine is switched
off, you can connect another device in its place. You can't however have more
than four devices actively connected IE turned on and all browsing. I only
said that this is a possibility. As for finding out about your router, your
user manual or ISP helpline should be able to provide you with this information.

      Hi Ibrahim

Does this mean a set number at the one time? So for example, if I have
connected a laptop and a netbook but they are both switched off, would they
still be counted? And how do I find out if there is a limit?

        Hi Barbra.

I don't know whether this will help you, but I usually get this problem
with a gateway reply error when I try to connect to many devices to our home
router. My internet service provider configures their routers such that you
can only connect four wireless devices to the internet, so I'd check to see if
your router has any limitations especially if it was a free router provided
with your broadband connection.

        All the best, Ibrahim.
