Yep, don't duplicate your rules, not a great idea.

Hi Steve,
It turned out there were 3 rules, two applying to
access-uk-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxxx <mailto:access-uk-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>
and 1 applying to access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx <mailto:access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>
I've removed those 3 rules and I'll see what happens.

Hi,
Remove both rules and tell me if you get any duplication then.

Hi Steve,
I've tried moving the messages which have access-uk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
<mailto:access-uk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> in the from address to a different
folder, but doing that took the majority of the messages in the original
folder over to the folder I'd created for messages with bounce in the from
address , even if some of those messages didn't have bounce in the from
address so I'll try removing the bounce address related rule.
To be honest I'll have to live with duplicated messages for a while,
although I can't work out why the duplication is happening, as I thought if
Imap is being used instead of pop3, duplication of messages didn't happen.

Well I'd say remove the bounces address, or put it in a separate folder.

Subject: [access-uk] possible problem with duplicate messages on this list.
Hi all,
I seem to be getting duplicate messages from this list.
I'm running outlook 365 on a windows 11 laptop and can only find one reason
why I may be receiving duplicate messages, as I'm using imap rather than
pop3.
The only reason I may be receiving duplicate messages is that I have two
messages rules for this list:
One to put messages from access-uk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
<mailto:access-uk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> into a folder and another to put
messages from access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx <mailto:access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>
into the same folder.
Could the fact of the two message rules be causing duplicate messages and if
so, which rule do I need to remove?
Thank you in advance for any advice on this.
