Hi,

Its done in Open Office, and is an XML file containing the data. Think
of it as a portable Word document which can be opened in any Office
suite on any OS.

Word 2003 may be able to open it, or you may have to ask the user to
save it in a text only file.

Thanks.

Andrew.

Subject: [access-uk] .odt file extensions

Hi all -

I was sent a file attachment with a .odt extension, which wouldn't open;
when I clicked on it, I got a message about no programme being
associated with this type of file, and was instructed to do something in
the control panel! So, what then is an .odt file, and how do I access
it?

Andy
