I run a googlegroup, and and I had similar issues with some of my members. I had to unsub them and reinvite or add them again until I knew they were receiving mail. The managers of googlegroups also have the facility of changing mail delivery options for groups to digest, and other things,rather in the same way as yahoogroups does. If you are having problems witha google email list, try writing to the moderators and ask them to try to resolve the issue for you. I can only read the list when I sign into Google Groups. I've set the preferences to deliver mail each day, and saved that, but still no joy.
