Hello, Ray,

Yes, the zoom in Firefox is a real treat, isn't it. If I remember rightly, there is something similar in Opera.

From my brief encounter with the IE7 beta, it seems they're still not bothering to put a zoom facility on the menus, which is daft because the function to zoom in and out must be in the code - it's easy enough to hook into it on your own pages with javascript, though that's not much help if you're going somewhere else!

Vince..

Vince, that looks to be a very useful app, or plug-in for Internet Explorer
and I've duely noted it.

I'm not in too much of a hurry to install it though because these days I use
Firefox except on pages where it cannot be used, like MS update. Firefox
has built-in a zooming feature whereby you holddown the control key and
simply use the mouse wheel. Works beautifully. There's also a Zoomefox
plug-in allowing you to view images individually and zoom them. Again very
useful.

It'll be interesting to see what IE7 offers in this direction.

If I understand you right, you want (or your friend wants) a zoom utility.
You could try EasyRead from

http://www.iconico.com/easyRead/

This installs a couple of toolbar buttons that let you zoom in and out. The
buttons aren't particularly easy to see, which is really unfortunate. Apart
from that it works very well.

Hi all,

I received the following message from a friend who is not on this list,
but
is using IE and I wondered if anyone could help with the following.

"Hi. I would like to know how you increase the size of the webpage on
Internet Explorer. I know how to change the text size. I just wanted to
magnify the page."
