I am now set on "Western European (Windows)" there is also an ISO variant.  Am 
I still firing blanks? :)

Using OE on an XP running machine your messages coming through blanks 
unfortunately. Changing the encoding from Unicode UTF8 to Western European 
sorts out the issue.
