Alison,

Think you're sorted but another way I found in certain web browsers is by hitting backspace.

Hi Alison,

This is probably where your search result opened in a new browser window.

To get round this, press Control-F4 if Alt-left arrow doesn't work.

All the best

Steve

For some time now I have found it increasingly difficult moving to the previous page on the internet. For example, if I am searching for something, follow a promising link which doesn't actually give me what I want, I can no longer alt left arrow back to the home page to try again. Is this a quirk of Windows 10 or is this just how the internet is now?

It's really irritating as now I frequently just have to alt f4 and start all over again.

Alison
