[access-uk] mic boost?

hi guys,
I'm trying to boost my Mic in Volume control.
When I open the Volume Control, & press the alt key for options, i get the
message:
Advance Controls Unavailable.
And when I go to propertys, I cannot find an advance option, where the Mic
boost is.
Can someone please advise,
My sound is on-board.
