Jackie,

That happened to my keyboard one day. I did change batteries but still found I had to just "play around". Suddenly it sprang back into proper life again instead of just a few keys working.

I'm not sure what the "Hide Keyboard" option does either. Anyone know?

Perhaps it stops the keyboard letters being shown on screen so you can wander around a bit more freely ... Just guessing a bit!

Hi Tris

I'm using the Apple wireless keyboard to cheat and type
in my contacts that way.

On the Mac, they saw each other, and my N86 asked if it
could connect with the Mac Mini. But then it got
complicated as there were numbers to put in, and I
thought you only needed four zeros.

And just to add to my Monday morning fun, my wireless
keyboard seems to be acting oddly. I've checked on the
phone that it is connected, that Bluetooth is on, and all
is well. But only certain keys on the keyboard work.
None of the cursors do, nor the keyboard letters and
numbers. The top right, when pressed, says: "Keyboard
hidden", so I have no idea what that means, and I can't
seem to do much. I've even changed the batteries and
restarted both the phone and keyboard. I was in the
middle of putting in a contact when it decided to go
silent on me. It's all probably me, and I'm just not
very good on the phone side of it. Will get there ...
Eventually!

Kind Regards,

Dear Jackie

As you proceed through the new contact form with the
right flick gesture you will notice that it announces the
"mobile" prompt as a button. If you double tap it you
will be able to select a different type in there. The
contact form can store a lot of data, I certainly have
some where three numbers exist.

I don't tend to leave Bluetooth going because it does
drain power and if you are not using it then that drains
the little battery life you do have. Likewise if you
mainly use it as a phone or are mainly in range of
wireless networks you operate or trust you can turn the
3G off and that will save a bunch of power.

Surprised you could not pair your N86 as I have done this
many times. I think to be fair with Snow Leopard. Does
the Mac even pick it up in the listview on the first or
second step of the wizard? If you get that far you
should be able to pair in the next step.

Regards.

Following my last Email, it now seems that I am receiving
text messages, but that I can't send my contacts across
to my iPhone as business cards, and perhaps that's why I
haven't received them as I was trying to do things that
way.

So, back to the manual typing them in for now.

Incidentally, there doesn't seem to be a landline field
or place where you can put actual telephone numbers.
Where do people put these out of interest? I know it
seems a really batty question, but I can only find mobile.

Many thanks.

Jackie Cairns
