I'm looking forward to find out more about Like-Braille.
I just thought i'd mtion that, as yet, I haven't got the iCloud app working
either since Apple decided, in their wisdom, to force us into having separate
passwords for both their entrance to all things Apple but then another for
other (non-Apple) stuff that we use for mail. Well, I may sort it in a little
while as I'm on a "sort out" phase right now so, if I get any further, I can
let you know, and hopefully you'll let me know of any success, John. Perhaps,
Jackie you're not even needing to use it for your iCloud. You didn't say.
Cheers now. It's getting late and I should be in bed.

Hi John
I am finding it works pretty well to be honest. Like you, I think the C
drive is a bit small, as is the amount of RAM, but then it isn't a desktop
machine so it does what I require.
Kind regards,

Hi Jackie
How are you getting your contacts/Calendar onto Outlook in ElBraille? And out
of interest what do you think of the ElBraille so far. I personally like it
and found it works quite well with most of the programs I use except iTunes
which I removed as it ran too slow. The only drawbacks I found so far is the
limited size of the C drive and that there is no way to wake it quickly as it
has no sleep or hibernation mode. Dropbox works well on it but unfortunately
it has to reside on the C drive as it sees the more capacious D drive as
removable and so cannot be moved there.

John

Hi John
I am running Outlook 2016 as part of Office 365 on my ElBraille, but don't
have iCloud installed.
Kind regards,

Subject: [access-uk] iCloud app isn't working on ElBraille
I realise this is a long-shot as few people will have the ElBraile yet but
here goes.
As i have an iPhone and a number of PCs I use the Apple iCloud app for my
devices to keep Contacts and Calendar synchronised between them with Outlook.
When I installed it on the ElBraille I get an error message to the effect
that Outlook isn't the default Email client which, of course, it is. I've
tried lots of trouble-shooting suggestions which I found on Google for the
same error message but none of them work in this case. I am beginning to
suspect that the ElBraille built-in app itself could be responsible as one of
its uses is to launch Outlook if it is present.
So the question is is anyone successfully running Outlook with the iCloud app
on the ElBraile or having issues with this setup?
Regards
John
