Hi John.

Unfortunately, i wasn't subscribed to the list then and searching through the archives, it appears i don't have the option to download the attached file. Could you see if you can lay your hands on it? no worries if not, someone sent me a doc file earlier which seems to be what i'm looking for though i've yet to try it.

all the best,

Mo.

Hi Mo,

On 5 Jan 2012 John Coley posted instructions via an attachment on how to
print on AFTB lables. Perhaps you can find this in the archives? If not, let
me know and I'll see if I still have it on my other PC.

John.

You can certainly use your guide, that's what I do. My envelope tray
has one which I can adjust according to the length of the item in it.

I don't put the sender's address on it, but I think it can be done. I
think what you would need to do is tab between the two addresses a
couple of times. I must try it and fiddle about to see how many tabs
you would need to press in order to get over the line that runs down
the label separating one address from the other. I have to do all
this by feel because the print is slightly raised on a laser printer,
but I could get someone to look at it just to make sure. If you feel
inclined, give it a bash and see what happens.

Kind Regards,

Jackie Cairns

Hi Jackie.

Many thanks for your response. My printer does not have an envelope
tray, though i'm guessing if i put the label where the top left of an
A4 sheet would be when it comes out and move my guide accordingly, it
would work? do you also print the sender's address as well? or does
the label not allow for that?

all the best,

Mo.

I do it all the time. If you have a tray in your printer for
envelopes, simply go into Word, type the address to whom the item is
being sent, and then select that address and centre it. Once you
print it, it should be bang in the middle of the label. I've done
this for years and years without any hassle.

Jackie Cairns

Hi All.

Has anyone had any success in printing on articles for the blind
labels reliably? are the labels standard measurements, i.e is there a
template available say in microsoft word that'll allow you to print
on a label that size? what i'm wondering is if there's a way i can
print addresses on the labels my self without sighted help.

all the best,

Mo.
