Hi, I've had years of flaky talk back experience and the best thing to do is
to use an iPhone if you want to do something productive otherwise you will
be an unhappy camper. Android is good for carrying out small tasks such as
watching Netflix and Youtube   and listening to audio content but when it
comes to composing and reviewing text, it will  leave you frustrated.

Subject: [access-uk] help with latest talkback gestures please on Android 11

I cannot work out how to adjust the reading by elements function - word,
character etc.

I used to swipe up with one finger to select element and then swipe right to
move forward by chosen element. This no longer works.

Have looked at    "customise gestures". It says for swipe up - move
navigation focus backwards  or adjust reading control up.

However, when I swipe up all it does it navigate backwards by item. How do I
make Talkback navigate by different elements please i.e. by words and
characters?

It is so frustrating.

Peter
