Fran, The up and down buttons(navigation) buttons control the locking and unlocking of my model. The navigation buttons need to be pressed as follows: 1. First press the down (South) button. 2. Keeping the south button pressed the top (north) button should be pressed. 3. This operation will cause the machine to say either "Keyboard Unlocked" or "Keyboard Active". Good luck!
