Hi Ron.

First of all, it is extremely important that no further changes are made to the hard drive as this could permanently erase the file if it has somehow been marked for deletion. First, go in to the word program and find the location of the last file that was opened that contained the information lost. Secondly, use a deletion and recovery tool like Recuva or Auslogics File Recovery (preferably from a pen drive) to see if the file still exists in any form. Those are two steps you should take in the first instance and depending on the results we can take it from there.

All the best, Ibrahim.

Subject: [access-uk] help for a friend

Hello folks A friend is writing a book and she has lost all she has written so far. It is in Ms word and she is using Jaws six. Has her work gone completely
or is there anything she can do to retrieve it? She saved it and has done a
search but no luck.

Cheers

Ron
