Thanks Vince and Carol.

I'd heard of the Windows anti-spyware programme but, never knew its name. I'm still surprised its in beta version after all this time.

I may check this programme out!

thanks,

Justin

Hi, Justin,

Windows Defender is a utility that detects malicious software, such as spy-ware and trojans on your computer. It's a free download from microsoft.com. It works in the background, starting when you start Windows, and scans your system automatically. You can also run a scan manually when you want. It's still only a beta version, but looks quite promising. It looks as if it's intended to be a replacement for Firewall, anti-spyware and anti-virus, but I'd still keep all your other defence measures in place.

Vince.
