This was posted a few minutes ago on Vi-gen. Do hope some here will pick up on this opportunity to comment and maybe give input on newspaper websites. Series of features on the accessibility of newspaper websites Message List Hello, I write for the new media news website Journalism.co.uk. I wanted to let this group know about a series of features we are publishing this week on our website on how accessible the UK's main newspaper websites are to blind and visually impaired users. We have begun the series today with an introductory article and the first review looking at the website of The Independent newspaper. A link to the introductory article is as follows: http://www.journalism.co.uk/5/articles/530590.php We will be publishing two more articles in this series each day this week all of which can be accessed through the introductory article for which I have included the link. We realise that our own website has some flaws in accessibility and we are working on these, but thought this series might be of interest to users of this group. Let me know if you have any feedback or feel free to contribute on our site to the comments on the articles, Laura From Ray I can be contacted off-list at: mailto:ray-48@xxxxxxxx ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq
