A good little utility for doing this is Bilark Advisor. Free download but
can't remember where I got it. Probably the JFWLite site or Whitestick
woudl be good to start with.

Subject: [access-uk] finding computer specifications

Hi,
I wonder if anybody knows a command that might bring up a computer's
specifications; my computer is a Packard Bell desktop. I need this
information as I am considering signing up for Broadband.
All the best,
Peter.
