Oh yes, you can hear all the spoken menus on a docking station because
anything on your device is being relayed through the station.

I'm going down to Aberdeen to John Lewis to look at a couple of Pure docking
stations.
Does the spoken menus on your IPod player interact withthe the docking
station?
The ones I'm going to look at have dab radios and all sorts of inputs and
outputs, so it will let me use other devices.
