Hi Mo
When I go to File manager using windows key and e, I don't see My computer as
an option. I do find local disc c listed but when I go to this there are no
announcements. How do you get to My Computer on your PC, please?

Hi andrew.
When you go in to my pc and arrow down, your hard drive should be listed. Is it
coming up in the list for you?
Cheers,
Mo.

Hi Mo
Thanks, I've set NVDA as you suggest, but I can't find 'my computer', I
do have 'This PC' and I can not find a button to say OK.
Regards
Andrew

Hi Andrew.
Go in to NVDA's menu with insert N, go to preferences then in to
object presentation. Check the option that says report tooltips, and
also check the option to read background progress bars. Then click OK.
now when you go in to my computer and highlight your hard drive, it
should automatically tell you how much space is left.
as for when you're copying files, try pressing insert U in NVDA to
turn on speaking of progress bars. press it repeatedly to
go through
the various options for reading of progress bars. you can also change
these options from the object preferences. I hope this helps?
cheers,
Mo.

Hi all
Using Windows 10 with NVDA how do I find out how much space is left on
my hard-drive, please. Also, in windows 7 it used to tell me how much
data I was transfering to a memory flash drive, but Windows 10 does not
do this, perhaps there is also a way to get NVDA to announce this as
well?
Best regards
Andrew
