i've never been asked for such information, what sort of sites ask for this information?


its all rather alien to me!!

why have i never had to have or use one of thse, what am i doing wrong

It's rather like having a pin number to approve people you wish to use your bank's electronic to pay for a bill, such as electric, gas.

You go through the process of making the payment, and finally you are asked to use your card reader to generate a number which must be entered to complete the transaction. Sometimes you need to insert your card into these machines.

That's where you can get stuck if you can't see the reader.

the natwest bank has just sent me a card reader.
do these things talk I thought I remembered someone on the list
saying they did.
I just rang the bank and they say they do not have any speaking card
readers.
