I am quite happily reading a kindle book currently on the Polaris.

As I said in my original response to Jeff, it is purely my own view, nobody
has to agree. They all have their plus and minus points. The keyboard on
Polaris is quieter than the BrailleNote family, it always has been. The
Polaris is smaller and therefore less bulky to manage. But the software is
flaky, I was a beta tester long enough to know that, and having the two
devices side-by-side enabled me to see that the Touch was much more reliable
at performing the same tasks that I set the Polaris.
If all a person wants is word processing and nothing to do with Android, I
would recommend the U2 or U2 Mini. But if you want to take advantage of the
Android OS, then that’s where I think the Polaris struggles. I’m glad though
that you are having a good experience with your device, others don’t
unfortunately.

Hi Jackie,
I can’t say my Polaris crashes that often to be honest, and it really doesn’t
matter the Android version, if all you want to do is note taking.
But I have heard issues with the Touch Plus as well, even though it is on
Android 8, which is also old by the way.
So maybe you’re being a bit unfair to the Polaris? I personally prefer it to
the Touch.

Unfortunately, the Polaris hasn’t met expectations, both from others and my
own perspectives. I know there is a new update, but I don’t know if this
includes a move from Lollipop 5.1.1 to something newer. When I had one, it
was too sluggish and crashed far too much. Its size and design are lovely
aspects, but the software leaves a lot to be desired, and I’m not wild about
support either.
I think you would do better going for the BrailleNote Touch Plus, both in
terms of reliability and technical support. See what other people think,
these are only my views.
In terms of price, whichever flavour you go for is going to be at least
£3,500 and above.

I have given up trying to gt my trusty Braille Sense serviced and repaired.
Do any of you have strong views about the Polaris?
People don’t rave about it as they did the Braille Sense, or is this my
imagination?
Also how much does it cost?
