I mark bus stops as favourites in Ariadne, and provided it's on, it will
alert you when you're approaching them.

Mike, Principally, BlindSquare allows you to select a category of place
you
want to find within a chosen radius of your location, then choose a
place
and have periodic instructions as to your proximity to it. Cross
streets
can be announced, but you'd need to invoke turn by turn instructions
given
by something like Navigon. Blindsquare is also good for finding
restaurants, as it will, if available, read you menus. Just another
tool
in
the navigation armoury.
